Car Crash Announces 6 months worth of programming for 2025, including a fringe venue, an adult panto, the return of the Pending Scratch Night and a new event focused around 3 World events.

In February we are re-opening our submission window for Pending, which will run once again in 2025. Pending is our emerging artists programme, where we work alongside writers and directors to develop new pieces. More details about the exciting plans for Pending 2025 will be announced soon, but if you are interested in submitting a piece for it, the submission window opens on February 1st.

And finally in March, rounding off the first 3 months of the year, a new event ‘Stanza Extravaganza’ celebrates a month of literature, words, poems and plays. Presented across the month that has World Poetry Day, World Theatre Day and World Book Day, the even will have a large online offering of readings and performances. As part of the event we are excited to pair with Shakesqueer, a LGBTQ+ theatre company based in London, to present ‘Shakesqueer’s Sonnets’ on March 21st at the Putney Arches. This is a night of live queer poetry along with some of Shakespeare’s best and rarely performed sonnets.

April sees our Outreach Program’s continued partnership with Stage Door Theatre School in Chryston take on a new Easter Project, which is yet to be announced, while May see’s the return of our yearly She/Her event, focused around female identifying artists.

The biggest announcement of the hall is by far June, in which Car Crash will take over The Putney Arches Space as part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe. 2025 is Wandsworth’s Borough of Culture year and Car Crash is super excited to be part of it, posting a programme that runs for over 2 weeks and builds on the success of runs in the space in 2024.
