Pending was started in 2019 as a platform to present emerging creatives. New pieces produced by fresh writers, directors and featuring emerging performers. Post-Pandemic the festival was reimagined as a platform to develop new work from scratch to full production.
In 2023 we put out an open call out to writers, from any background, anywhere in the world. Our readers chose 8 pieces to match with directors and of these 6 went on to our Scratch Night Pending in February. The featured pieces are:
